Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) said an independently verified Environmental Product Declaration recorded 139 kg CO₂e per tonne for rebar made at its KEZAD facility in Abu Dhabi. AD Ports Group’s 13 October release gave 218 kg CO₂e per tonne for the company’s Sharjah operations.

The company said both measurements cover production from raw materials to the factory gate and were checked against recognised international standards. AGSI also said it uses locally recycled scrap and an entirely electrified production process.
