UAE–France energy forum sets out three areas for cooperation
A 9 October forum in Abu Dhabi focused on power grids and storage, low-carbon technologies, and reducing oil-and-gas emissions.

The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and CCI France UAE held the UAE–France Energy Forum at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi on 9 October. Emirates News Agency reported that government officials, energy businesses and experts discussed how energy security, lower-carbon systems, economic competitiveness and reliable supply can be addressed together.
The forum had three thematic sessions. The first covered renewables, electricity grids, storage and strategic infrastructure; the second examined nuclear power and low-carbon technologies; and the third considered emissions reduction in oil and gas, carbon capture and storage, operating efficiency and supply security. The announcement described areas for potential cooperation but reported no signed agreement or investment amount.
