Aeonian mineralogy supports its Koocanusa copper-silver model

Samples from the Jake target contained relict chalcopyrite and silver-bearing minerals, which the company interprets as support for its exploration model.

Aeonian Resources reported mineralogical work and updated geochemical interpretation at the Jake target of its Koocanusa project in British Columbia on 20 October. Laboratory work identified relict chalcopyrite and fine silver sulphide in oxidized drill core; the company says these findings support its interpretation that sulphide mineralization preceded oxidation.

The QEMSCAN study examined three selected samples, while the company reviewed 943 core analyses and identified an approximately 90-metre stratigraphic interval with localized copper enrichment. That interval is interpretive, and mineral proportions are not metal grades. The release reports no recovery rate, mineral resource or reserve.

Aeonian reports no recovery tests, reserves or resources from these observations. Mineral proportions describe selected sections only; the approximately 90 m interval is interpretive.
