The assessment estimates a 17-year mine life and average annual production of 732 tonnes of rare-earth oxides contained in super-pure rare-earth carbonate. It lists 35.8 million tonnes of measured and indicated mineral resources and another 2.2 million tonnes inferred.
These are preliminary assessment estimates, not current production. The first-stage environmental approval covers the Victoria Norte, Luna and Maite extraction zones, the Neptuno deposition zone and the processing plant; remaining zones are expected to require a separate second-stage assessment.
