The Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) signed an agreement with The Boring Company to explore underground transport, utility tunnels and related infrastructure solutions across the emirate. Signed during LIVEX 2026 on 8 October, the initiative covers technical dialogue on feasibility, delivery and operating models.

The announcement sets out an exploratory study, not a construction decision or schedule. ADPIC oversees an infrastructure portfolio exceeding US$56 billion and supported delivery of 100 capital projects in 2025. The partnership includes exchanging expertise in tunnel planning, safety, automation and digital engineering, alongside local capability development.
