Vantage Data Centers and Heron Power Electronics announced on 21 October a manufacturing-capacity agreement covering more than 1 gigawatt of Heron Link solid-state transformers for Vantage hyperscale data-center campuses. The equipment is designed to convert medium-voltage grid power directly to 800-volt direct current and includes integrated energy storage.

The companies say the architecture is intended to reduce conversion stages and simplify power delivery from the grid to AI racks. Heron Link targets efficiency above 98.5%, according to the announcement; this is a product target, not an independently verified result. The agreement reserves manufacturing capacity and does not itself establish that all equipment has been installed or that a specified amount of operating data-center capacity is online.
