The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) concluded a working visit to Japan on 10 October. WAM reported that Undersecretary Hasan Jasem Al Nowais took part in the UAE–Japan Technology and Artificial Intelligence Roundtable in Tokyo and the ministerial roundtable of the Science and Technology in Society Forum in Kyoto. Discussions examined how to turn scientific advances into practical applications that strengthen industrial competitiveness.

The Tokyo agenda covered cooperation in artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, digital manufacturing and precision manufacturing, as well as wider adoption of advanced technologies in industry. In Kyoto, participants discussed how academic research could be applied to factory needs and production challenges. MoIAT encouraged direct partnerships between technology providers and UAE manufacturers for pilot projects such as AI-powered quality inspection and predictive maintenance; the report announced no signed agreement.
