Technip Energies and SABIC agree global LDPE technology licensing collaboration

Technip Energies and SABIC signed an exclusive licensing collaboration agreement for Clean Tubular Reactor technology used in low-density polyethylene production. Technip Energies will act as worldwide licensor of SABIC’s CTR technology.

The engineering company says it has supported CTR basic design, engineering, construction and start-up activities since 1996. The announcement expands a technology licensing relationship rather than awarding a new EPC construction contract for a specific facility.
