The service supports ST25DA-C NFC chips and STSAFE-A120 secure elements. Credentials may include the required Matter Device Attestation Certificate, cryptographic keys, product and version information, and customer-specific personalisation.

ST says its approved Product Attestation Authority and Intermediate status lets it generate and inject credentials at certified secure factories. The company presents the service as a way to reduce customers’ provisioning infrastructure needs; the release gives no independently measured savings.
