The Korea Customs Service reported preliminary exports of USD 61,612 million for 1–20 October, up 105.4% year on year, and imports of USD 47,117 million, up 42.8%. The trade surplus was USD 14,496 million.

The agency also reported a record daily average export value of $4.74 billion for the period, adjusted for working days. Semiconductor exports were $27.5 billion, also a record for the same October period; this is a partial-month measure, not a full-month result.
