Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) and Norway-based Equinor signed a memorandum of understanding on 20 October to explore downstream energy opportunities. WAM reported that the scope includes storage, infrastructure, logistics, trading, supply and shipping for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), natural gas liquids (NGLs) and other oil and gas products.

The companies will also assess selected energy-transition opportunities and ways to optimise petrochemical storage facilities in the UAE. The memorandum does not announce an investment decision or added capacity; it sets a framework for assessing possible cooperation.
