Singapore’s Ministry of Health published the National Population Health Survey (NPHS) 2025 report on 3 October. It put participation in chronic-disease screening at 71.5% in the 2025 household interviews. The measure covers residents aged 40–74 with no known diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol who were screened for all three conditions at recommended intervals; the rate was 5.2 percentage points above 66.3% in 2019. The share of residents aged 18–74 reporting sufficient total physical activity rose from 84.7% in 2024 to 87.3% in 2025.
The report put the share of people aged 18–74 scoring at least 3 on the GHQ-12 questionnaire at 15.9%; this threshold indicates recent psychological distress and is not, by itself, a diagnosis of a mental disorder. NPHS is an annual cross-sectional household survey, with interview data weighted to the resident population’s age, ethnic-group and sex distribution. The 2025 household interview received 8,119 responses from 11,118 eligible households (a 73.0% response rate); indicators rely on self-reports and do not by themselves establish an effect of Healthier SG.

Methodology
These are weighted rates reported from the 2025 cross-sectional household interview and are based on participant responses. Chronic-disease screening means participation at recommended intervals for diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol among residents aged 40–74 without a prior diagnosis. The mental-health indicator is recent psychological distress at a GHQ-12 score of 3 or more; it is not a clinical diagnosis of a mental disorder. The household interview included 8,119 participants from 11,118 eligible households, a 73.0% response rate.
