Seven OPEC+ countries retain September output requirements for October

The September 6 statement schedules the next monthly meeting for October 4.

Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman decided at their September 6 virtual meeting to maintain September required production levels for October 2026. OPEC said participants reviewed market conditions and the outlook.

They reiterated their commitment to full conformity with the Declaration of Cooperation. The next monthly meeting is scheduled for October 4. Required production levels are targets, rather than evidence of October’s realised output or the outcome of a meeting still ahead.
