Food Standards Scotland and the UK Food Standards Agency issued a consumer warning on 10 October about raw shell eggs produced by Yasensvit Ltd in Kyiv. After Salmonella was identified in some eggs, consumers and businesses were told not to eat, sell or distribute eggs stamped 3UA1012066.
The warning covers all pack sizes and all best-before dates. It says the code printed directly on the shell is the most reliable identifier where eggs have been repacked under different outer packaging. Businesses should withdraw affected stock and recall products sold directly to consumers.
