The Al-Baha branch of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture concluded its 15th pomegranate festival, the Saudi Press Agency reported on October 18. The five-day event brought together local farmers and visitors interested in agriculture.

The ministry branch director said 50 pomegranate farmers and 10 cottage-industry families participated, and pomegranate sales exceeded 60 tonnes. Government entities also provided agricultural awareness and extension activities. The report says the festival aimed to showcase local produce and open marketing channels; it does not give a sales comparison with earlier years.
