The Philippine Department of Labor and Employment said on October 18 that it had begun assisting beneficiaries under seven new pathways in its TUPAD emergency employment program. At the October 14 launch in Cebu, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. met initial beneficiaries. The pathways link temporary work with skills, enterprise, education and employment support.

DOLE identified 11 micro, small and medium enterprises as eligible for Sagip-Trabaho wage support, including a Cebu burger business whose 10 regular employees are covered. In Cordova, Cebu, 150 fisherfolk received assistance through Trabahong-Dagat; 20 of them qualified for SkillPass training and certification. These are initial beneficiary counts, not program-wide totals.
