On 17 October, the Cagayan Valley Department of Agriculture regional office reported that the Southern Cagayan Agricultural and Biosystems Power and Machinery Testing Center had started field-performance tests on four rice threshers supplied by ACT (Machineries and Metal Craft), based in Cauayan City, Isabela. The office described ACT as the center’s first client in 2026, but did not state the day the tests began.

The center was accredited by the Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering on 21 April and is located at the Southern Cagayan Research Center in Iguig, Cagayan. The regional office called it the first machinery testing center in Cagayan Valley and Northern Luzon; it reported 230 registered manufacturers, fabricators, assemblers, distributors, dealers, importers and exporters across Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino. Those registrations are regional industry figures, not a count of the center’s clients.
