Pakistan Stock Exchange adds record 25,281 investors in September

The finance minister said the monthly increase was a record, taking the exchange’s investor base to 656,218.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said on 1 October that the Pakistan Stock Exchange added 25,281 investors in September 2026, the highest monthly increase on record, according to his remarks at the exchange.

The minister put the investor base at 656,218, compared with 321,144 in March 2024. He gave the figures at an event marking the listing of a housing real-estate investment trust; they are minister-reported exchange figures, not an independent audit.
