Muscat Stock Exchange market value reaches OMR 39.23 billion in September
The Muscat Stock Exchange’s market capitalization rose to OMR 39.23 billion at the end of September. According to Qatar News Agency’s account of exchange data, monthly trading value fell 6.4% to about OMR 914 million while executed trades increased to 199,000.

QNA reported on 3 October that market capitalization had increased by about OMR 590 million from the previous month. Trading value fell from approximately OMR 976.5 million in August to OMR 914 million in September, while the number of executed trades rose from 178,000 to 199,000.
Prices rose for 54 securities, fell for 41 and were unchanged for 13. Even so, the main index closed the month at 7,566 points, down 37 points. Gains in some sector indices did not offset the main index decline; the indicators together describe both September market activity and the month-end position.
