Milan said on October 11 that conservation work had finished on monuments to Antonio Stoppani, Gaetano Negri and Giuseppe Giacosa in the Indro Montanelli Public Gardens. The city said the work restored the appearance of the bronze and stone structures while protecting their historic integrity and structural stability.

The municipality put the overall investment at about €40,000 and said the work took less than three months. Restorers cleaned the bronze and stone, repaired joints, renewed the gold lettering on inscriptions and applied protective treatments against weather, pollution and possible vandalism. The work was supervised by the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan City of Milan.
