The tax currently funds the television rebroadcasting service. Approval would have ended the arrangement beginning in 2028; the District said the preliminary assent vote was not certified and official results would be declared by October 21.

The same election’s preliminary results also covered the six council seats. The District reported 756 votes on the tax question and 759 total votes in the municipal election result. The release did not explain the difference, so the counts are kept separate.
