Lambda said it plans to offer open-source NVIDIA Run:ai as a managed component within Lambda Kubernetes Service (LKS). Run:ai provides GPU-aware scheduling and resource management for AI workloads; Lambda says its existing LKS service manages the Kubernetes environment and monitors and remediates unhealthy GPU nodes.
The planned integration is not yet available. Lambda aims to make Run:ai a first-class option in the LKS software library and says it will handle packaging, validation and ongoing operations. The company says GPU sharing and fair allocation across teams could improve utilization; it did not report a customer outcome or an already-live integration.
