Jordan’s Social Security Corporation said active insured membership had exceeded 1.706 million and cumulative retirees had reached 424,520 as it marked its 48th anniversary. According to the agency’s statement carried by Petra on October 18, monthly pension payments exceed JOD184 million; this is not an annual payment total.

The corporation said it would continue using government databases and electronic links between institutions to reach workers outside insurance coverage. It plans dedicated complaints and suggestions sections in its mobile application during the week, followed by electronic payment services in the coming days. These are announced next steps, rather than services reported as already implemented.
