IllustrationJordan launched a Japan-funded agriculture project intended to strengthen small producers’ resilience to drought. Petra reported on 29 June that activities in and around Ajloun, Jerash and Northern Shouneh would include farm inputs, demonstration sites and institutional drought-management support.
About 380 farmers, refugees and host-community members are expected to benefit, with women’s cooperatives among the target groups. This is an approximate intended reach, not a completed participant count.
