JFrog announced on 21 October that its AI Security product will add Local Shadow AI Detection for developer workstations and AI Asset Scanning with bring-your-own-key (BYOK). The endpoint feature is designed to identify assets such as agent skills, plugins and MCP servers installed on developers’ machines.
JFrog says deterministic scans run locally, with metadata and risk assessments sent to its platform. Its BYOK scanning sends prompts and assets directly to a customer’s model endpoint; the company said the new capabilities were available to Unified Security and Ultimate Security customers.
