INTERPOL reported on 18 September 2026 on Operation Shams II, held in Tunis from 1 to 5 June. The operation brought together 28 officers and experts from 11 countries. Teams extracted 108,076 facial images from material published by jihadist groups and reduced the set to 6,362 unique images after quality checks and deduplication.
