Google Cloud and NVIDIA announced on 21 October that Google Cloud A5X instances based on NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 systems would become generally available the following month. The integrated offering combines Vera Rubin compute, NVIDIA ConnectX-9 SuperNICs, Google Cloud Virgo networking and the provider’s fourth-generation liquid cooling for training, inference and reinforcement-learning workloads.

NVIDIA said London-based Ineffable Intelligence was the first customer to access A5X for large-scale reinforcement learning, while WPP had demonstrated a creative-agent architecture on the instances. The announcement described general availability as upcoming and Europe as a planned expansion, not current broad availability. Google Cloud’s stated long-term scale plan is a company plan, not installed capacity.
