The German Football Association (DFB) said on October 18 that the women’s Bundesliga match planned between Werder Bremen and TSG Hoffenheim had been postponed. The DFB said hosts Werder Bremen used the match-day postponement provision after an illness wave left the team without enough players fit to play.
The game was scheduled for 4 p.m. in Bremen as part of the league’s seventh matchday. The DFB said a new date would be announced soon; its notice did not specify the illness, number of affected players or the rescheduled date.
