The Xunta is supporting the first Danzamanía programme outside Madrid, an initiative by Emprendo Danza that connects primary and secondary pupils with dance through school workshops and performances at Santiago’s Salón Teatro. Three companies from Galicia, Valencia and Catalonia are scheduled to perform from October 21 to 23.

In Santiago, a workshop for children aged four to eight is planned at CEIP Cardeal Quiroga Palacios, while pupils aged ten and older can attend one at IES Rosalía de Castro. The Xunta says the workshops will let pupils work with company professionals on the content and stage language of each performance.
