Figma launched Specs in open beta, a feature that brings written product context onto the design canvas. Teams can drag Markdown files onto the canvas and include FigJam files, design frames, code layers and other canvas elements in a spec. The company says the aim is to keep decisions and technical details alongside the design work they inform.

Specs is rolling out on web, desktop and mobile to paid plans. Figma says its agent can read and reply to comments in a spec, and that a document can be passed to a coding agent through Figma’s MCP server. These are Figma’s product claims and do not establish provider approval or independent verification of a connector.
