Egypt plans practical phase of 2028 census for second half of that year

Egypt’s planning minister Ahmed Rostom and CAPMAS head Akram el-Gohary reviewed preparations for the 2028 General Census of Population, Housing and Establishments. Officials said its practical phases are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2028.

The ministry said the meeting covered funding and logistical requirements and coordination with state bodies. CAPMAS plans to use digital systems and advanced technologies throughout data collection and analysis.
