The ministry said crude oil output averaged approximately 465,000 barrels per day in the first nine months of 2026. Of 339 well workovers during that period, state oil company EP Petroecuador carried out 245 and private operators carried out 94.

It also reported 126 wells drilled: 95 by Petroecuador and 31 by private operators. The ministry's October-December plan calls for 32 additional wells. Those are planned activities, not completed drilling or confirmed production.
