Statistics Canada released 2025/26 crop-year supply and disposition data for soybeans and corn on October 9. The soybean table reports production of 6.9895 million tonnes, total exports of 5.2607 million tonnes and ending stocks of 362,300 tonnes.

The corn record for reference month August 2026 covers the same September-to-August crop year: production was 14.8673 million tonnes, imports 2.1119 million, exports 1.1936 million and ending stocks 1.7351 million tonnes. The soybean table’s July reference also represents the cumulative September 2025–August 2026 crop year under its metadata note, rather than activity in July alone.

Methodology

The source tables publish quantities in thousands of metric tonnes. Numeric values here are multiplied by 1,000 and reported in metric tonnes. The 2025/26 crop year runs from September 2025 through August 2026. The soybean cube’s July 2026 reference is defined by its note as cumulative for that full crop year; the corn cube’s August 2026 reference is the end of the same crop year. Supply, production, imports, exports and stocks remain distinct measures; flows are not added to stocks.
