Canada and Germany plan LawZero investment for safe AI research

The Canadian and German governments announced separate planned investments in LawZero at the ALL IN conference in Montréal on 16 September: C$150 million from Canada and €100 million from Germany. Canadian support is intended for research, engineering talent and computing capacity.
LawZero is a nonprofit developing an approach called Scientist AI. The announcement says the project will create 360 full-time jobs in Canada, while the German funding is subject to European Commission notification.
