Bank Indonesia’s 20–21 October Board of Governors meeting kept the BI-Rate at 5.75%. The lending facility rate remained 6.5%, while the deposit facility rate rose from 4.75% to 5%.

The bank said the decision supports rupiah stability and its 2.5% plus or minus 1 percentage point inflation target for 2026 and 2027. It also said incentives for domestic non-deliverable forward hedging instruments would be strengthened to attract foreign capital, alongside efforts to deepen money and foreign-exchange markets.
