Azerishiq held the final of its nationwide “New Generation Energy Workers: Architects of the Grid” contest on 17 October at the Hadrut Junction Substation and Digital Management Center. The utility said the winners of 11 regional rounds competed in a theory stage with 20 questions.
In the practical round, teams carried out simulated tasks involving rescue and first aid for a person receiving an electric shock, firefighting, and repair and restoration work on a 10 kV line. Contestants then presented innovation projects they had prepared in advance. Yasamal RETSI placed first, followed by Khachmaz ES and Astara ES. Azerishiq described the event as training to build professional knowledge, safety practices and skills; it did not announce a new grid technology.
