In an October 19 project-generation update for the quarter ended September 30, Altius Minerals reported work by portfolio companies at two Canadian mineral projects. At the Disley potash project in Saskatchewan, Buffalo Potash completed drilling for its initial production module. Altius said the 15-10 source well intersected 20.5 metres of net sylvinite grading 39.4% sylvite; first production is targeted for the first quarter of 2027.

At the Mary March project in Newfoundland and Labrador, Altius portfolio company Canstar Resources and its partner VMS Mining completed four holes totalling 2,756 metres, the first drilling at the property since 2019. Altius reported that hole MM-26-42 returned 15.6 metres of massive sulphide grading 0.73% copper, 0.73% lead, 2.10% zinc, 0.71 grams of gold per tonne and 19.0 grams of silver per tonne. These are Altius’s summaries of portfolio-company work; Altius is not the operator, and the figures are not national production statistics.
