Aker Solutions announced an EPC award for an HVDC substructure at a European offshore wind project on June 30. Customer and project names were not disclosed.
The undisclosed identity should not be assigned to a particular wind farm. Technical assessment needs clear interface loads and delivery boundaries between the supporting structure and upper equipment. A substructure award does not assign the entire electrical system to one contractor.
