# WEC Energy raises outlook after quarterly earnings increase

WEC Energy Group reported third-quarter 2026 net income of 389.3 million dollars on 29 October, compared with 271.3 million dollars a year earlier. Diluted earnings rose to 1.18 dollars per share from 0.83 dollars.

Retail electricity deliveries increased 3.3%, excluding an iron ore mine in Michigan and Very Large Customers in Wisconsin. After adjustment to normal weather, the increase for that same customer scope was 0.4%. Residential electricity use rose 5.1%. The weather-adjusted measure and the unadjusted result should not be treated as equivalent indicators of underlying demand.

The company raised and narrowed its full-year earnings forecast to 5.60–5.64 dollars per share from 5.51–5.61 dollars. Management attributed the change largely to favourable weather and capital investment supported by Very Large Customers. The forecast assumes normal weather for the rest of the year.
