# Uzbekistan retail trade turnover grows 18.8 percent through August

Uzbekistan's National Statistics Committee said retail-trade turnover reached approximately UZS 370.6 trillion in January–August 2026, an 18.8 percent year-on-year increase. There were 92,434 commercial enterprises operating in retail as of 1 September.

Wholesale turnover rose 16.9 percent to UZS 447.7 trillion over the same eight-month period, with 58,261 enterprises operating in the sector on 1 September. The committee's 5 October bulletin gives turnover for the eight-month period and enterprise numbers as of a specific date.
