The U.S. corn harvest was 33% complete and the soybean harvest 46% complete as of October 11, according to the Agriculture Department’s weekly Crop Progress report released October 13. The respective five-year averages for that date were 39% for corn and 50% for soybeans. The report aggregates results from 18 major producing states, which accounted for 93% of 2025 corn acreage and 96% of soybean acreage.

Winter wheat planting reached 51%, compared with a five-year average of 58% for the same date. These are field-progress estimates, not final output forecasts. USDA said the selected-state figures are summarized by crop and state; the report also tracks crop condition and other field stages. The data describe progress through October 11 and can differ from production estimates in separate USDA reports.
