The UK government announced a £331 million package on 24 September to address security risks linked to climate change and nature loss. It includes £330 million for the Global Environment Facility’s 2026–2030 period and £1 million for the UN Climate Security Mechanism, which addresses conflict risks.

Officials said the fund support would back sustainable agriculture and fishing and strengthen resilience to drought and flooding. The announced amounts are a funding package; they do not mean all money has been spent or specific outcomes achieved.
