The 2026 Al Dhaid Date Festival concluded on October 11 at Expo Al Dhaid, the Emirates News Agency reported. Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it brought together date-palm growers, agricultural experts and home-based businesses from across the UAE. The agency described visitor turnout as strong but published no attendance total.

The displays included Emirati date varieties, date molasses, food blends and sweets based on traditional recipes, alongside other farm and food products. WAM said the event connected producers with consumers and traders. Exhibitors also presented newer products using traditional ingredients and heritage-inspired packaging, illustrating how the festival linked date cultivation and food traditions with small-business activity.
