UNICEF screened more than 168,000 children in Taiz this year and found over 52,000 acutely malnourished. Diesel shortages threaten pumps, while trucked water costs have tripled. UNICEF is providing diesel and emergency water and sanitation services to over 300,000 people, and has positioned nearly 8,000 cartons of therapeutic food for severe malnutrition treatment.
