Syria’s Grain Establishment signed a memorandum of understanding with Al-Jaraki Investment Company to rehabilitate, upgrade and operate six mills. The arrangement is described as build-operate-transfer.

The mills in Damascus Countryside, Hama and Latakia have a stated combined capacity of 3,000 tonnes per day. The report gives no investment value, implementation timetable or expected production increase, so capacity should not be read as actual output or a finalized investment amount.
