The General Establishment for Seed Multiplication has resumed operations at its Raqqa branch after a suspension of about 14 years. The branch director said the restart is part of preparations for the coming agricultural season.

Its production plan targets around 7,500 tonnes of durum and soft wheat seed; this is a seasonal target, not reported output. Farmers can contract to grow seed crops, which the branch says will be cleaned and treated at its facilities.
