Syrian Civil Defence teams responded to 21 traffic crashes and 47 fires across the country during the preceding 24 hours. The Syrian Arab News Agency, SANA, citing the Civil Defence Telegram channel, reported five deaths and 24 civilian injuries in the crashes.

The fires involved homes, shops, grass, trees, rubbish and electrical wires; three civilians were injured in those incidents. Officials said crews extinguished the fires and cooled the sites. These are agency-reported totals for its response period; SANA did not provide a governorate breakdown or independent verification.

## Data

### Civil Defence response counts

Incidents and outcomes reported by Syrian Civil Defence for a 24-hour period.

Methodology: Transcribed from the Civil Defence Telegram statement cited in SANA's 13 October 2026 report. Crashes and fires are separate rows; category counts remain separate, and overlap between people is not ruled out. The period's start time and governorate breakdown were not stated. No separate fire death count is specified, so that cell is null.

| Incident type | Incident count | Deaths | Injured |
|---|---|---|---|
| Traffic crashes | 21 | 5 | 24 |
