# Spain’s adjusted market-services turnover rises 5.5% annually in August

> Provisional INE figures released on 16 October show Spain’s market-services turnover index rose 5.5% year on year and 0.3% month on month in August after seasonal and calendar adjustment. The unadjusted annual increase was 6.0%.

The services employment index rose 1.2% annually. Unadjusted regional turnover increased in 16 autonomous communities and fell 0.3% in the Balearic Islands. Turnover rates reflect sales values including price movements; they measure neither physical service volumes nor the change in employee numbers.
