# Slovenia abstracted 954 million cubic metres of water in 2025

Slovenia’s statistical office released the 2025 figures on 21 October: abstraction totalled 954 million m³, including 762 million from surface sources. Groundwater abstraction was 192 million m³.

Wastewater discharge was 977 million m³, down 3.5% from 2024. The total includes thermally polluted, treated and untreated water; abstraction and discharge are separate flows.
