Skanska announced on 22 September 2026 that it has signed a contract with an existing client to begin work on a data center in Georgia. The contract is worth $84 million, about SEK 780 million, and will be included in Skanska’s U.S. order bookings for the third quarter of 2026.

The project covers an approximately 22,700-square-meter (244,730-square-foot) data center with five colocation data halls and administrative space, designed for 48 MW of capacity. Delivery includes civil, structural, utilities, electrical, mechanical, security, interior amenities and fit-out work, as well as commissioning of major equipment through completion.

Skanska said work will begin in November 2026 and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2028. The release does not name the client or give the site’s location within Georgia.
